“Good times are back at the Mem”

10 wins on the bounce at the Mem, how times have changed. It was only this time last year we could not win at home for toffee!

Rotherham came to see if they could upset their former manager, Steve Evans. Rovers set out to win after a tough week. Rovers were unchanged again and several thought, can they do it again or is tiredness going to set in.

It was not such a fluid performance but my goodness it was full of fight and endeavour! Early chances for Fab and Bobby went by before Bobby shot for goal, the Millers keeper made a poor save and Tommy Leigh smacked in the opener. The crowd went mad! The atmosphere is truly back at the Mem! Everyone happy and in good spirits.

Typical Rovers made us sweat, then all of a sudden it all kicked off! I for one didn't see it but it followed what appeared to be a clear foul on Ellis! Raynor and Bruce had an altercation (apparently) and two red cards were brandished. This game was a game we would have lost last season!

We looked tired at times, unsurprising after our workload! It was nice to see Big Phil, Russell-Denny, and Aitchison (who I think is a player and a half).

So top of the league! After 4 games! Long way to go but a promising start! Up the Gas ⛽
